Museum Launches Dornier Appeal
The Royal Air Force Museum has today
officially launched its appeal to raise funds for the relocation and restoration
of the world’s only remaining Dornier Do-17 bomber and is calling upon members
of the public, with the assistance of
Sir Richard Branson, to help us preserve the remains of this aircraft.
The Museum has identified the remains of an intact WWII Dornier Do-17 bomber in the shallows off the Kent Coast. We need your help to save this unique aircraft.
Sir Richard Branson states: ‘The discovery of the Dornier is of international importance. Please support the RAF Museum’s appeal to save this unique aircraft as a tribute to the loss of life on both sides of the Battle of Britain.’
If you wish to make a donation, you can do so online, by going to the Museum’s appeal page or by texting DORN17 and the amount you would like to give to 70070. Your donation, however large or small, will help save this remarkable aircraft for future generations.
